Born on May 30th, 1996 in Chicago, Illinois, Lucki, formerly Lucki Eck$, has emerged as a distinctive voice in the rap scene. He continues to captivate his audiences with his raw authenticity and innovative sound. His music resembles the sounds of Earl Sweatshirt meets A$AP Rocky meets Chief Keef — his 3 biggest sources of inspiration.
I luckily was able to attend his concert in Silver Springs, MD at The Fillmore two years ago. Although I may have passed out in the front row 5 minutes before he came on stage, I enjoyed his performance from the balcony nonetheless. His unique sound, lack of stage presence, and charismatic lean belly have paved the way into the hearts of many individuals, like myself, and whoever comes to mind when thinking of the most annoyingly pretentious Opium Ken Carson fan.
With my biased love for him, I hope this article allows readers to explore his music and dive into the wonders of Lucki — P.S. I included a playlist at the end that features some of Lucki’s best songs and my personal favorites to get you into him.
