Our DJ of the month for October 2022 is Campbell Wood! For this blog post, we asked Campbell some questions to learn more about his show:
Q: What's the name of your show?
A: The Camp Out
Q: What kind of music do you play on your show?
A: Hip Hop/R&B
Q: What artists inspire you?
A: The Beatles, Tyler, the Creator, Mac DeMarco, Ms. Lauryn Hill
Q: What is a fun fact about you?
A: I met Alex Trebek twice
Q: What do you study?
A: SMAD (Media Arts & Design)
Q: Are you apart of any other organizations?
A: JMU A Capella group “The Madison Project”
Q: What got you into radio?
A: I wanted a find a way to get my voice out there to practice speaking and being recognized, and I thought radio was the perfect way to do that. I also generally just liked the aesthetic and vibes of the people involved, and I was interested in meeting more people who enjoyed music in the way that I did.
Q: What’s your favorite part about WXJM?
A: The amazing community of people in WXJM and being able to share my music with the Harrisonburg region and anyone who tunes in online!
