Our DJ of the month for February 2021 is Jamie Panko! To celebrate, we asked Jamie some questions to learn more about her show.
Q: What kind of music do you play on your show?
A: Indie Music and Soft-Rock
Q: What got you into this music?
A: It is just the kind of music I like. It combines the best of other genres, like Rock and Acoustic.
Q: What artists inspire you?
A: Lorde, Mitski, Boy Genius and Cocteau Twins
Q: If you could travel back to any musical era, what would it be and why?
A: 80s synth clubs. It was such a fun time for music and very innovative.
Q: What other organizations are you involved in?
A: DPE, MHLC
Q: What do you study?
A: Political Science and Public Policy & Administration, minor in honors.
Q: What got you into radio?
A: I wanted to meet some like-minded people who were also passionate about finding new music.
Q: What’s your favorite part about WXJM?
A: The people in the organization are my favorite part.
